The Solution

We designed and implemented a custom Role-Specific Action Portal that serves as the backbone of the GTM team’s entire cadence workflow. This centralized, role-specific tool integrates all steps in the cadence process—from gathering data to executing outreach—seamlessly into one system.

The Challenge

Building engaging and informative newsletter content requires a steady flow of fresh ideas and relevant news. While we typically relied on three core sources for AI news, this limited our ability to discover unique, diverse, and insightful content. The manual process of browsing sources was also time-intensive, leaving less time for creativity and writing.

The Solution

To scale up content discovery and streamline the process, we built a custom workflow using n8n. This tool automates the aggregation, classification, and organization of AI news, allowing us to access far more information without extra effort.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Aggregation: The workflow pulls from over 20 top AI RSS feeds and news aggregators, scraping the latest news articles from the past seven days. This results in 250 - 350 articles being pulled together within seconds!

  2. Classification: Each article is automatically classified into one of the newsletter’s sections: Mike’s Musings / AI Insights, Technical Deep Dive, Rico's Roundup: Skeptic's Corner, Ethical Considerations & Real-World Impact, etc.

  3. Filtering and Organization: The tool eliminates duplicates, prioritizes relevant articles, and provides high-level summaries tailored to our newsletter format.

The Results

  • 100x Content Sources: Expanded from 3 to over 300 unique sources, vastly improving the diversity and quality of articles considered.
  • Time Savings: Reduced manual research time by 8+ hours per week, freeing us to focus on writing and strategy.

As co-authors of the Artificial Antics AI Bytes newsletter, we wanted to deepen our understanding of writing styles, tones, and voices while ensuring consistency in our brand. However, manually analyzing past editions to create actionable insights about writing profiles was tedious and time-consuming. This process risked taking valuable time away from strategic planning and content creation.

The Solution
Using n8n, we created an automated workflow that streamlines the process. Every week, after the newsletter publishes:

The workflow reads the RSS feed and pulls the latest 20 editions of the newsletter. Converts the content into markdown format for processing. Analyzes the data to generate detailed author profiles, including: Writing style (complexity, structure, humor, etc.). Tone (approachability, emotional tone, authority, etc.). Voice (perspective, vocabulary, distinct traits). Brand identity (core themes, target audience, and taglines). Outputs the profiles in JSON format and uploads them to GitHub for future use.
